What type of kitchen remodels does RWS do?
Our opinion is that there are two main types of kitchen remodels: facelift vs. full-gut. Regardless of project scope, RWS primarily focuses on craftsmanship remodels, striving to achieve the highest level of attention to detail while using high-quality materials, and demanding a high level of workmanship.
How much does a craftsmanship kitchen face-lift remodel cost?
While every house is different, we feel the below ranges provide you with a realistic estimate for kitchen remodels:
Kitchen Face-lift Remodel: Try to think about the potential sale price of your home to stay within a reasonable budget.
Method: Refreshing and updating existing cabinets with a fresh coat of paint, including installing new light & plumbing fixtures, countertops, & potentially new appliances.
Please note: Custom cabinetry, marble, quartzite, and higher-end quartz countertops will deliver a higher overall price for your remodel.
How much does a craftsmanship kitchen full gut remodel cost?
Kitchen Full Gut Remodel: Try to think about the potential sale price of your home to stay within a reasonable budget.
Method: Existing floorplan & layout remains the same, yet we replace everything else (cabinetry, fixtures, appliances, etc.).
What are RWS' payment terms?
At RWS, we structure our payment terms around the achievement of specific construction benchmarks.
- 10% due at signing (any funds you've applied towards a planning contract will be credited towards this amount)
- 25% due at construction commencement
- 25% due at rough-in inspections
- 25% due at substantial completion
- 15% due at full completion
*Allowance items, such as cabinetry, countertops, and plumbing fixtures, are billed separately.
What is your process?
We break our process down into 3 distinct phases:
Consultation Phase
- discuss your project overview
- provide you with design ideas
- create your budgetary estimate
Planning Phase
- work with you to determine selections
- provide you with a detailed project scope
- identify & solve any potential problems
Construction Phase
- create your project schedule
- perform the work to deliver you your dream kitchen
How soon can you start?
This is mostly determined by how quickly clients make decisions and move through the planning phase.
On average, most kitchen remodels kick off roughly 90 days after the planning phase begins. This accounts for 60 days (an average) needed for clients to finalize selections and design details, and an additional 30-35 days needed for selections to arrive once ordered.
How long will construction last?
The time it takes to complete a kitchen remodel is determined by the size of your kitchen, the design complexity, and the level of finish items selected by the client.
Below are averages for your reference:
Kitchen Facelift Remodel = 3-5 weeks
Kitchen Full Gut Renovation = 8 –12 weeks
What to expect during my remodel?
First and foremost, we assign a lead remodeler to every project we complete. Your lead remodeler will oversee your project and serve as your daily point of contact. Secondly, job site protections and dust containment are top priorities. While we cannot fully eliminate dust, we aim to contain it and keep it to a minimum. Additionally, you should expect daily construction cleanup. Lastly, each job site has a whiteboard used to update the client on our progress. This board also provides opportunities for our clients to communicate with us regarding any questions or concerns you may have.
